嘉阳小火车的前世今生 1938年,四川省最早的中英合资煤矿---嘉阳煤矿在犍为县芭蕉沟诞生。 1958年8月,开始修建芭蕉沟至石溪镇的铁路,以解决煤炭外运难题。 1959年7月12日,轨距为600毫米、长约20km的芭石铁路通车。 1960年,芭石铁路进行全面改造,轨距拓宽至763毫米。 1978年,嘉阳小火车煤炭运输和客运分开,诞生了小火车客运专列。 2003年底,嘉阳集团为减少铁路运输亏损,宣布拆除芭石铁路。此消息引起社会广泛关注和强烈呼吁。 2004年5月,四川省人民政府出台措施保护嘉阳小火车工业遗产。 2006年4月18日,“嘉阳小火车.芭石铁路”被命名为乐山市重点文物保护单位和工业遗产。 2007年6月,“嘉阳小火车.芭石铁路”被命名为四川省重点文物保护单位。 2007年11月,举办“莱斯特郡之骄”命名仪式,嘉阳小火车成为中英友好象征。 2010年5月,“嘉阳小火车.芭沟工业古镇.黄村井老矿井”通过国土资源部评审,被命名为“四川嘉阳国家矿山公园”。 History of the Jiayang Narrow Guage Train In 1938 the Jiayang Coal Mine,the firstSino-British joint venture in sicuhan, was founded in Bajiaogou,Qianwei; In August 1958 buliding of railway beganbetween Bajiaogou and Shixi in order to transport coal out of the mountain; On July 12,1959 the railway line,which wasin 600mm gauge in a total length of 20km,was open to traffic; In 1960 the railway line underwent afull-scale transformation,where by the track gauge was widened to 762mm; In 1978 coal transportation and passengerservice were seprated,hence passenger train was inaugurated; At the end of 2003 the Jiayang Groupdeclared a plan to scrap the railway in order to cut down the operating losses,butthis news drew wide attention and outcry from the public to preserve it as ahistrorical relic; In May 2004 the Sichuan ProvincialGovernment promulgated policy measures to list the Jiayang narrow gauge railwayas an industrial heritage; On April 18,2006 the Jiayang narrow gaugetrain and Bajiao gou-Shixi railway were named a key historical site andindustrial heritage under protection by the leshan Municipality; In June 2007 the Jiayang narrow gauge trainand Bajiao gou-Shixi railway were named a key historical site under protectionby the Sichuan Provincial Government; In November 2007 the naming ceremony of thePride of Leichestershire was held,making the Jiayang narrow guage train asymbol of friendship between China and Great Britain; In May 2013 the Jiayang Narrow gaugetrain-bajiaogou-Shixi railway-the old pit of Huangcunjing,having passed reviewby the Ministry of Land and Rosources,was named Jiayang National Mining Park ofSichuan.
